Establishing a Baseline Awareness

golfers-1905When going to the range, buy the small size bucket, which is usually about 30 balls. Set your intention at the beginning of not trying to fix anything. You want to notice what you do, how it feels and where you are right at this moment with your golf swing. Pick a target, then choose your club and use a practice swing relating to the chosen target. After the ball is struck notice if your ball swing feels like your practice swing. Try to keep most of your attention in the physical body and less on the resulting shot.

This is the beginning of coaching yourself. Ask questions like where was my attention during the swing? Were you with the target, the ball, a swing thought etc.?
This develops powerful learning imprints from physical body awareness.
